Sri *Marshall A Silva* has taken charge as the new *Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager* of Eastern Railway, Sealdah Division. An IRTS officer of the 2016 batch, Sri *Silva* holds an Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree from Anna University.
Prior to this posting, he served as Sr. DCM, Asansol Division (Sep 2023 – Sep 2026), where he led major business development initiatives, including the commissioning of GCTs, loading new rail commodities, and introducing innovative Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) models that generated record sundry earnings. He also oversaw major passenger amenities and successfully managed the massive footfall during Shrawani Mela 2026.
Earlier, between June 2020 to September 2023, he served as AOM/DOM (Coaching) in Howrah Division, where his efforts contributed to winning the popular Punctuality Shield in an intensive coaching network.
At Sealdah Division, Sri Silva’s priority will be on augmenting passenger amenities, expanding commercial freight earnings, and enhancing operational efficiency through collaborative teamwork.
