In a significant move to boost passenger convenience and promote digitization, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Sealdah Sri Jasram Meena, today held a crucial meeting with all halt contractors. The primary objective of this meeting was to ensure the swift implementation of m-UTS facilities at all halt stations.

 

During this productive session, Mr. Meena emphasized the urgency of this initiative, directing all contractors to launch m-UTS services within a strict 15-day deadline.

Recognizing potential hurdles, the meeting also served as an open forum for contractors to discuss and resolve any challenges or issues they might encounter during this rapid deployment. This proactive approach aims to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless transition to the digital ticketing system. This marks the first time in many years that contractors’ issues have been addressed in a face-to-face setting.

This strategic step is a testament to the Sealdah Division’s commitment to facilitating a hassle-free travel experience for passengers. By digitizing the ticketing process at halt stations, m-UTS aims to eliminate passenger inconveniences and provide modern, efficient services in Halt station. This initiative, under the vital guidance of General Manager/Eastern Railway, Shri Milind Deouskar, is an unprecedented and progressive step towards broader digitization within the division.

Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah , Shri Rajiv Saxena, is confident that the expedited implementation of m-UTS will significantly benefit passengers by providing them with greater ease and accessibility in obtaining unreserved tickets.
