Eastern Railway, Sealdah Division has decided to introduce Two new air-conditioned (AC) local train services on Sealdah- Bangaon -Ranaghat- and Sealdah-Krishnanagar routes starting from September 5, 2025.
These services are being launched to provide a premium, comfortable and efficient travel experience for daily commuters and long-distance travelers on two of the busiest routes connecting Sealdah to suburban areas. The services will operate six days in a week, excluding Sundays.
The new *Ranaghat – Bangaon – Sealdah AC local* will depart from Ranaghat at 07:11 hrs, reach Bangaon at 07:52 hrs, and arrive at Sealdah at 09:37 hrs. The return service will depart from Sealdah at 18:14 hrs, reach Bangaon at 20:04 hrs, and terminate at Ranaghat at 20:41 hrs.
Ranaghat – Bangaon – Sealdah AC local** will prove especially beneficial for air passengers. Travellers heading to the airport and nearby area can now de-board at *Dum Dum Cantonment station*, which is located in close proximity to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, thereby saving significant travel time and avoiding the need to go all the way to Sealdah.
Additionally, the new *Sealdah – Krishnanagar AC EMU service* will depart from Sealdah at 09:48 hrs and arrive at Krishnanagar at 12:07 hrs. The return journey will depart from Krishnanagar at 13:30 hrs, reaching Sealdah at 15:40 hrs.
Furthermore, the new *Sealdah – Krishnanagar AC EMU service* will be a great relief for devotees and tourists traveling to Mayapur to visit the famous *ISKCON temple*. The air-conditioned journey will offer a much-needed comfortable travel option, particularly during the hot and humid months, making the pilgrimage a more pleasant experience.
The introduction of these new services aims to enhance passenger convenience and reduce travel time, offering a premium travel experience on these busy routes.
