As a step further towards facilitating more comfortable journey of the suburban passenger, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division successfully run inaugural service of two new AC EMU train today.
These two new EMU service viz. Ranaghat- Sealdah via Bangaon and Krishnanagar – Sealdah AC EMU locals will act as a significant step toward modernizing suburban travel in the Sealdah Division.
The new AC EMU trains have commenced operations on two major routes:
Ranaghat to Sealdah (via Bangaon) and Krishnanagar to Sealdah. Both services were met with an enthusiastic response from the public. Ranaghat to Sealdah train recorded an impressive occupancy with positive response, while the Krishnanagar service also saw strong ridership and they are very happy amid vacation.
This introduction of AC EMU services is a pivotal moment for the Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division, addressing a long-standing demand for enhanced passenger comfort and improved travel conditions. The modern rakes are designed to provide a cooler, more comfortable journey, particularly during hot and humid months.
