In a continuous effort to enhance passenger convenience, Sealdah Division has extended the existing *Sealdah – Barasat AC EMU local* services all the way to Bangaon Junction, effective from August 20, 2026. Aimed at making daily suburban travel cooler and far more comfortable, this upgraded air-conditioned service will run six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, remaining non-operational on Sundays.
As per the schedule, Train No. *33449 UP Sealdah – Bangaon AC EMU local* will depart from *Sealdah at 10:33 AM*, halt at Barasat at 11:14/11:15 AM, and cover major stations along the route—including *Bamangachhi, Duttapukur, Bira, Ashoknagar Road, Habra, Maslandapur, Gobardanga, Thakurnagar, and Chandpara* and arriving at Bangaon Junction at 12:23 PM.
On its return journey, the Down service *Tr. No. 33442 Bangaon – Sealdah AC EMU local* will leave Bangaon at 12:35 PM, make scheduled halts at intermediate stations, and finally terminate at Sealdah at 14:25 hrs. Under the revised schedule from Barasat to Sealdah, at Barasat 13:40 hrs, followed by stoppages at Madhyamgram 13:46 hrs, Birati 13:54 hrs, Dum Dum Cantt. 14:00 hrs, Dum Dum Jn. 14:05 hrs and Bidhannagar Road 14:10 hrs and finally arrive at Sealdah at 14:25 hrs.
Additionally, to accommodate this extension smoothly, *Train No. 33365 UP Barasat – Bangaon local* has been rescheduled to depart from Barasat at 11:40 AM instead of 11:30 AM from the same date.
*Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah, Sri Rajeev Saxena*, stated that passenger comfort and convenience remain the railway’s highest priority. He added that extending AC local services to Bangaon directly addresses the growing demand from daily suburban commuters, ensuring that their everyday travel across North 24 Parganas is faster, more modern, and more pleasant. Passengers travelling on the *33442 Bangaon–Sealdah AC EMU local* are requested to note the revised timings and plan their journey accordingly.
