In a vibrant initiative under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division recently organized engaging Painting and Essay competitions across various locations, focusing on the themes of ‘Mera Amrit Station’ and ‘Operation Sindoor- Veerta ka Mishal’. These events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, fostering creativity and awareness about railway development and operations.

Specifically, at Ichapur, Abacus Central School hosted a compelling Poster Making competition on ‘Mera Amrit Station’ and ‘Operation Sindoor- Veerta ka Mishal’ theme, drawing the participation of 94 talented students. Simultaneously, in Kanchrapara, Eastern Railway High School – Kanchrapara organized both Poster Making and Essay competitions on the topics of ‘Mera Amrit Station’ and ‘Operation Sindoor- Veerta ka Mishal’, with a total of 137 students actively showcasing their artistic and literary abilities.

These competitions, held under the aegis of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aimed to connect young minds with the vision of modernizing railway stations and also to educate them about important railway endeavours. The significant participation from students in Ichapur and Kanchrapara highlights the community’s strong engagement with these crucial initiatives.

A total of six awardees, three from each event (across all competition themes and locations within Sealdah Division), will be selected for their exceptional contributions. These deserving students will be felicitated by esteemed dignitaries during the Amrit Bharat Station Program, recognizing their efforts and inspiring their future engagement.

DRM Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena said that, this commendable initiative by Eastern Railway, Sealdah Division, underscores its commitment to reaching out to communities across its various locations, fostering awareness about key railway projects and operations among the younger generation, and nurturing their creative talents.
