Eastern Railway, Sealdah Division today observed the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar with profound respect and solemnity. The commemorative event was held at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office, where Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena led the tributes by offering floral garlands at the portrait of Babasaheb. Senior divisional officers and staff members joined the ceremony, offering flowers and paying their heartfelt respects to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.
During the program, Sri Saxena, DRM/Sealdah highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s monumental role in shaping modern India and his tireless advocacy for social justice and equality. Sri Saxena also emphasized that Babasaheb’s vision continues to be a guiding force for the railway fraternity in providing inclusive service to the nation.
Similar floral tribute ceremonies were also organized at various stations and workshops across the Sealdah Division, where railway employees gathered to honour the legacy of the visionary leader.
