The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Sealdah Division, under the dynamic leadership of the Sr. DSC Sri M.K.Singh and the invaluable guidance of the Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to passenger safety and security over the past week. Their diligent efforts have resulted in the successful recovery and return of numerous lost valuables and a significant apprehension in a major narcotics case.
In a series of “Operation Amanat” successes on June 18, 2025, RPF personnel recovered 04 cases and returned articles including a Dell laptop and accessories valued at ₹65,000, essential documents and an umbrella worth ₹400, an Android mobile phone valued at ₹13,000, and an HP laptop bag containing a laptop, driving license, bank ATM cards, and cash totaling ₹100,000, recovered items detected after operation amanat. These swift actions ensured that passengers who inadvertently left their belongings behind were reunited with their valuable possessions.
Furthermore, in a major operation on June 19, 2025, RPF and CIB Sealdah teams, in coordination with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Kolkata, apprehended an individual named Abbas Ajameri. From his possession, a staggering 6.338 kg of suspected Heroin and Morphine, with an estimated market value of ₹3.35 crore, was recovered. This decisive action underscores the RPF Sealdah Division’s unwavering resolve in combating illegal activities and ensuring a secure environment for all railway users.
DRM Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena said that these achievements highlight the proactive and vigilant approach of RPF Sealdah Division in safeguarding passenger interests and maintaining a robust security framework across the railway network.
