To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities – 2025, Eastern Railway organised a felicitation programme for Non-Gazetted Railway Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) under the aegis of the Central Staff Benefit Fund at Udisha, Fairlie Place, Eastern Railway Headquarters, today.
Shri Milind Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Smt. Zarina Firdausi, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, along with other Principal Heads of Departments and senior officers, were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the General Manager encouraged the differently abled employees to continue excelling in their respective fields. He reaffirmed Eastern Railway’s commitment to providing all entitled facilities to Divyang Railway employees and assured that any issues faced by them would be addressed sincerely.
On the occasion, Shri Deouskar felicitated 29 Non-Gazetted Divyang Railway employees from across Eastern Railway in recognition of their outstanding performance. The General Manager also released a booklet highlighting the various benefits available to differently abled employees.
The programme also featured heart-touching cultural performances by differently abled employees, showcasing their talents through songs, recitations, and other creative expressions, which were warmly appreciated by the General Manager.
