In a heart-warming display of inclusivity and community spirit, the Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ERWWO), Sealdah, in collaboration with Bodhayan, organized a Special child joyous sports meet cum support Programme on January 4, 2026. The event, held at the B.C. Roy Ground, brought together 146 specially-abled children from 11 different special schools across the Kolkata.
The programme was designed to provide a platform for specially-abled children to showcase their talents and spirit. The atmosphere was filled with energy as every child actively participated in various activities and sports events with immense enthusiasm.
Smt. Nidhi Saxena, President of ERWWO Sealdah, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She was joined by the Secretary and dedicated members of the ERWWO/Sealdah team, who were present to encourage the young participants.
Speaking at the event, Smt. Nidhi Saxena emphasized that this initiative is a reflection of ERWWO Sealdah’s on-going commitment to child welfare and social empowerment. The organization continues to strive toward creating a more inclusive society where every child, regardless of their abilities, is given the opportunity to shine. The event concluded on a high note, leaving the children, teachers, and organizers with lasting memories of companionship and celebration.
