Sealdah Division has taken numerous initiatives for up gradation of Dakshineshwar Station. Dakshineshwar Station of Eastern Railway is a vital gateway for countless devotees visiting the revered Dakshineswar Kali Temple. Eastern Railway Sealdah Division remains focused on enhancing passenger safety, improving infrastructure and enhancing aesthetic appeal of the station premises. This initiative addresses several major areas to ensure a more comfortable and secured travel experience for all commuters under the dynamic leadership of Senior Divisional Engineer (Cord) -Sri Sachin Suman and Senior Divisional Engineer (1)- Abhay Kumar in the insightful guidance of Divisional Railway Manager / Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena.
A major highlight of the project is the erection of a new net barrier fence on both sides of the ramp. This crucial safety measure, covering a total area of 1300.00 square meters, is designed to prevent littering and significantly improve the safety of minor passengers using the ramp.
In addition to the safety enhancements, a comprehensive renovation of the station’s appearance has been completed. This includes repair work on the ramp wall and a new colour scheme for the painting of grills and fences on the platform, specifically covering 900.00 square meters of grill painting work on the platform at Platform no-1 & 2 sides. Furthermore, boundary walls have undergone essential repair and painting, contributing to a cleaner and more inviting environment. The project also encompassed net barrier fence, lettering, and painting to ensure clear demarcation and a cohesive look throughout the renovated areas.
