Newssuper 4 February 2026:Senior Commanded Shailendra Pratap Singh, serving in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has been promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General on the recommendation of the Union Public Service Commission. His promotion is the result of his excellent services, leadership, ability, and dedication to duty. S P Singh, a resident of Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh, is a postgraduate in Philosophy and has received a gold medal in the subject. As a 2004 batch officer, he has successfully discharged important responsibilities at various states and sensitive establishments across the country under the CISF during his service tenure. Shailendra Pratap Singh has also served in the National Security Guard (NSG). Apart from this, he represented India on an international platform while working as a Contingent Commander in Haiti under the United Nations Peace Mission. He also played an important role in establishing the Kishan Ganga Hydroelectric Project in the Baramula region of Kashmir as a CISF unit. Currently, he is posted as Deputy Inspector General in the Special Security Group (SSG) unit of the Central Industrial Security Force, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where he is supervising the security arrangements for very important persons in various states and union territories of the country. He has also been honored with the Presidential Police Medal in 2022 for his commendable services. Administrative officers, colleagues, and well-wishers have expressed happiness on his important promotion and wished him a bright future.
