Newssuper Kolkata: 25 June 2026.To facilitate essential infrastructure development and safety maintenance works, Sealdah Division is undertaking major traffic and power block on upcoming weekend June 27 (Saturday) and June 28 (Sunday), 2026.
The 6-hour 30 minutes (390 minutes) Traffic Block at Ballygunge (BLN) station limit on the DN Passenger line for the complete conversion of point no103B/104A & 101A/110B from 52 kg to 60 kg. This block will be operational from 22:15 hrs on Saturday to 04:45 hrs on Sunday.
Divisional authorities have meticulously planned this major block during the weekend (Saturday night and Sunday). As Sunday is a public holiday, the impact on daily commuters and office-goers will be significantly reduced.
Consequently, suburban train services in Sealdah South sections will be regulated as follows:

In this context DRM Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena said that, this Point conversion block is essential for maintaining the highest standards of railway infrastructure. Division has chosen weekend to ensure minimum disruption to our valued passengers and request the cooperation of the passengers as we work toward a faster and safer journey for everyone. Passengers also requested to check the revised train schedules on the official divisional handles before planning their journey during this period.
