The Railway Protection Force, Eastern Railway, organized a special ceremonial performance by the RPF Band on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the timeless national song “Vande Mataram”, commemorated on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, 26th January 2026. The programme was conducted under the direct supervision of Sr. DSC/SDAH, at the North Facade of Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata, from 16:00 hrs to 18:15 hrs. The event stood as a proud tribute to the spirit of national awakening, unity, and patriotism.
Shri Milind K. Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, in the august presence of Smt. Seema Deouskar, President, ERWWO. The programme was also attended by the IG-cum-PCSC, Eastern Railway, AGM/ER, SDGM/ER, DRM/Sealdah, DRM/Howrah, other Principal Officers and senior officers, who encouraged and appreciated the performers.
The soulful and powerful rendition by the RPF Band deeply moved the audience, and the event received an overwhelming response, with approximately 3,000 spectators witnessing the patriotic spectacle.
