In a move to ensure seamless passenger experience for the upcoming Ganga Sagar Mela, Sr Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) of Sealdah, Shri Jasram Meena, conducted a comprehensive inspection for M-UTS at Sealdah Railway Station.
During the visit, Shri Meena focused heavily on the functioning of the M- UTS. Recognizing the importance of digital ticketing in reducing station congestion, he scrutinized the current operational flow and efficiency of the M-UTS counters and digital kiosks. He interacted with the staff to identify any technical glitches and ensured that the system is fully optimized to handle the heavy footfall of daily commuters and pilgrims.
M-UTS evaluation reviewed the performance of mobile ticketing services and instructed officials to promote digital ticketing to minimize long queues at physical counters. With the Ganga Sagar Mela approaching, Shri Meena issued strict instructions to all Sectional heads and station staff regarding crowd management, passenger amenities, and the deployment of additional help desks for Ganga Sagar Mela Readiness.
- Addressing the staff during the inspection, Shri Jasram Meena stated, Our priority is to provide a hassle-free and safe journey for every passenger. With Ganga Sagar Mela being a high-volume event, every official must be proactive in their duties. The M-UTS system must be promoted aggressively to ensure that the station remains decongested and efficient for the elderly and divyangjans.
