During a high level meeting at Eastern Railway Headquarters, Fairlie Place today (31.12.2025), Shri Milind Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway released the working time table of Eastern Railway for the year 2026. Shri Sheelendra Pratap Singh, Additional General Manager, Shri Saumitra Biswas, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Shri Devender Kumar, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri Permanand Sharma, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, Principal Chief Safety Officer, Shri Vikram Gupta, Principal Chief Engineer and other Principal Officers of Eastern Railway were also present on the occasion.
This new working time table of Eastern Railway containing details of train operations of four Divisions viz. Howrah, Sealdah, Asansol & Malda is effective from 1st January 2026 has been published to facilitate maintaining the train operations as per schedule. The operational guidelines contains in the working time table will help the field staff of different departments as a ready reference for the procedures to follow towards punctual running of trains and passenger satisfaction.
The new working time table, effective from 1st January 2026 has brought extension & increase in frequency of several EMU locals bringing ease of movement for the suburban passengers vis-à-vis reduction in journey time of several Mail/Express trains.
